There is so much more to chocolate than just a snack, it’s fascinating how they make it, it’s rich with a intriguing history and of course, it’s scrumptious beyond belief (especially the combinations Laughing Lemon create).

Our speaker, Jack gives your senses a night to remember as he uncovers the world of Swiss chocolate in this interesting… and tasty event. During the evening, he will guide you through the following points:

  • Understand how chocolate is produced from bean to bar
  • Introduce the key people and history making Swiss chocolate renowned throughout the world
  • Learn how to taste chocolate and find your favourite through a tasting of different chocolates
  • Indulge yourself with some of Laughing Lemon’s delicious praline creations.

About the Speaker

Laughing Lemon Food & Wine is a Zürich-based private company offering educational courses in food and wine, creative catering services for home or business, small group events, recipe development and private home dinners.  They are also active in writing about food and wine.

Jack has spent a number of years working in gourmet restaurants in Northern Italy, Switzerland, and France. He has a culinary degree from the New England Culinary Institute in the USA, a master’s certificate from the Italian-based International Culinary Institute located in Costigliole D’Asti, a certificate in chocolate decorations and tempering from Felchlin Chocolates in Schwyz Switzerland, and a certificate in fine confections from Fabilo International in Rickenbach Switzerland.
